Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced the appointment of Cindy D’Aoust as the organization's president and CEO, effective immediately.
D'Aoust had been acting as president and CEO since Tom Ostebo stepped down from the position in July. Ostebo had joined the organization in May after Christine Duffy moved to become president of Carnival Cruise Line that January.
D'Aoust first joined CLIA in December 2014. As president and CEO she will continue to oversee CLIA’s operations globally while working with the senior leadership team to propel the organization forward and work on behalf of all CLIA members. She has previously served as chief operating officer at Meeting Professionals International and in other senior roles with Maxvantage and Maritz Travel.
