Cruise and Maritime Voyages to Recycle Onboard Waste Items into Fashion Bags

Cruise and Maritime Voyages is showcasing a new approach to onboard recycling.  In 2013, Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) ships Marco Polo and Discovery will use waste items such as ring pulls, food packaging and used mailing bags to create fashion bags, courtesy of one of CMV's craft experts, Krystyne Lamb.

Lamb is booked to instruct on the Feb. 28th Marco Polo sailing, “Land of the Northern Lights” two week cruise, and then is set to work on six cruises onboard Discovery starting on April 12th with the six-night “Celtic Landscapes” cruise sailing from Bristol Avonmouth that visits Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man.

A Laugh on the Ocean Waves is offered on certain departures where the focus is on laughter with guest comedians. Other new activities include “An Audience with…” -- CMV’s slant on the British TV series with guest artists interviewed and passengers able to ask questions. There is a full program of speakers on all types of subjects. Club Class allows passengers who enjoy bridge, backgammon, chess or other activities a chance join up with other like-minded passengers to enjoy their games.
