Cruise West Adding New Suites to Spirit of Yorktown

Seattle-based Cruise West will upgrade its Spirit of Yorktown this fall, adding a new balcony room category of four cabins replete with private teak-floored balconies. Other renovations of the 138-guest ship will include redecorating and upgrading public corridors, lobby areas and the Observation Lounge, which offers panoramic views. The five-week wetdock will begin on October 23, and the ship will resume operations on December 22 with a Sea of Cortes Whales & Wildlife cruise roundtrip from Cabo San Lucas. The combined cost of all renovations is approximately $2 million. Visit [www.cruisewest.com].
