In a further update of the Cruise West situation, the cruise line apparently has notified the Washington Employment Security Department that it laid off 24 workers in the Seattle area on Wednesday and another 41 will be laid off starting Friday, according to a report today in the Seattle Times. Apparently, the state has a legal requirement for notification of any lay offs by corporations.
