MSC Cruises has signed a global GDS deal to provide its cruise product on the Amadeus system. Travel agents in North America, the United Kingdom and Spain will be able to book via Amadeus starting in July. Retailers in France and Scandinavia will be able to book MSC Cruises through Amadeus starting in the third quarter 2006. MSC is in the midst of a sizable expansion; it had only three ships back in 2002, but today has seven and soon to be eight. The new MSC Musica will launch on July 1. Two more new ships will arrive in 2007 and 2008, and two additional ships are on order.
