Crystal Cruises Details Christmas and New Year's Voyages for 2014/2015

Crystal Cruises is offering new Christmas/New Year’s voyages through China and Southeast Asia in 2014, and to Brazil in 2015, each celebrateing New Year’s Eve in Hong Kong and Rio de Janeiro (respectively). With a new “Save Now, Save Later” promotion, guests can save up to $1,500/person if booking 2014’s cruise by June 30, then receive an additional 25 percent off 2015’s voyage (a value of at least $1,900 across all room categories) upon completion of the first cruise.

2014-15 Asia --

Sailing round-trip from Singapore starting Dec. 21, the itinerary rings in the New Year with Crystal Symphony berthed at Ocean Terminal in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour.  The positioning allows for a “front row” view of the fireworks countdown celebration, specially-illuminated skyscrapers, musical pyrotechnics, and the Symphony of Lights—the largest permanent light show in the world.  he “China Sea Holiday Spectacular” has two nights in Ho Chi Minh City (including Christmas day/night) and Hong Kong (including New Year’s Eve), plus calls in Angkor Wat’s Sihanoukville, Cambodia and Nha Trang, Vietnam, a beachside capital of turquoise waters, mountain backdrops and diving.  Shorter six- and nine-day Christmas/Hanukkah or New Year’s “Getaways” segments are also available to/from Ho Chi Minh City. 

2015-16 Latin America --

Winter travelers seeking hot climates and even hotter cultural highlights will find both aboard a new, Brazil-focused route, departing Dec. 19 from travel hotspot San Juan, Puerto Rico to “cool” Rio de Janeiro.  Three nights in Rio, including New Year’s Eve, enable guests to sample the city’s nightlife and the Eve fireworks, plus a New Year’s Day in Buzios.  Calls in Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago (maiden visit); Devil’s Island, Iles du Salut, French Guiana; and Fortaleza, Recife, and Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, round out the tropical itinerary of pristine beaches, coral reefs, and colorful cities.

Crystal celebrates Christmas and Hanukkah (aboard the 2014 voyage) with holiday feasts, parties, shows and religious services amidst lavish seasonal décor.  On each ship, an gala dinner, champagne, live music and a balloon drop complement local New Year’s Eve celebrations.  To assist those traveling with children, in addition to guided junior activities, late night, group babysitting services will be offered throughout the voyage—a new expansion of Crystal’s Junior Activities program debuting with 2014 summer and major holiday sailings.
