Disney Cruise Line Announces New Experiences Onboard Disney Fantasy in May

Disney Cruise Line has announced that several new experiences will be available onboard Disney Fantasy beginning May 2017, including activity themes such as Star Wars, Marvel and new shopping venues.

Disney’s Oceaneer Club, a youth space onboard the Disney Fantasy, will have the new Star Wars: Command Post where younger guests have an opportunity to train with heroes of the Star Wars saga and help with missions against the First Order. Kids will interact with holographic models at a Star Wars “holotable” that projects 3-D images of the Millennium Falcon, Death Star and other Star Wars ships, meet members of the Resistance and learn to channel “the Force.”

Additionally, at the new Marvel Super Hero Academy, children will learn heroic values such as “enlightenment, worthiness and loyalty” from onboard super heroes, as well as practice “mystic arts” with Doctor Strange, who is making his first-ever appearances onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship. There will also be open portals to different areas around the Marvel Universe and a new gaming experience.

For families the new Sweet on You ice cream shop, themed after Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, will serve hand-crafted gelato and ice-cream, sundaes, chocolates, truffles and a variety of candy.

Adult guests aboard the Disney Fantasy will also be able to shop at the new Tiffany & Co. store, which offers collections of jewelry and luxury accessories including the Tiffany T collection.

The new enhancements will debut on Disney Fantasy sailings starting May 17, 2017 from Port Canaveral, Florida. The first sailing will visit the Bahamas on a three-night voyage. Beginning on May 20, the ship will resume a regular sailing schedule that includes seven-night voyages alternating between the eastern and western Caribbean.
