European Waterways Announces New Savoir Faire Itinerary

European WaterwaysEuropean Waterways has announced a new cruise route for its Savoir Faire luxury hotel barge from May 31 to August 16.

The 12-passenger ship will be making a series of 12 weekly departures between the cities of Rogny-les-Sept-Ecluses and Marseilles-les-Aubigny in Burgundy’s the Sancerre wine region.

Cruise highlights include:

-The crossing of Gustave Eiffel’s aqueduct, the ‘Pont Canal de Briare,’ over the Loire River and a visit to Rogny-les-Sept-Ecluses
-A trip to the river village of Apremont-sur-Allier with tours its floral park and Chateau de Saint-Fargeau
-An excursion to the medieval city of Charité-sur-Loire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
-A stop in the town of Gien

Cabins on the Savoir Faire during these special cruises are from $4,975 to $5,250 per person, based on double occupancy, for a six-night all-inclusive cruise. Full barge charters are also available from $48,300.
