Galveston Fog Changes Three Carnival Itineraries

Heavy fog in the port of Galveston, Texas, delayed the departure of three Carnival Cruise Line ships, forcing the line to modify its itineraries, Cruise Critic reports. Sailings on Carnival Freedom, Carnival Valor and Carnival Breeze were altered.

Carnival Valor was forced to depart the port one day later, on January 15, on a four-day cruise that will call at Cozumel only.

Carnival Freedom also departed the port one day late, January 15, operating a modified six-day itinerary with stops at Grand Cayman and Cozumel, dropping a previously scheduled call at Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Cruise passengers on Carnival Valor and Carnival Freedom can cancel their cruise to receive a full refund, or decide to travel and receive a one day prorated refund on the cruise fare, with gratuities adjusted accordingly.

Carnival Breeze is scheduled to depart January 16 on a modified six-day itinerary with stops at Mahogany Bay, Roatan and Cozumel, Mexico, dropping a call to Belize City. Carnival Breeze passengers can cancel their cruise for a full refund.
