Holland America Line Debuts Five New Asian Itineraries

Holland America Line is providing more itineraries for the MS Zaandam’s 2012 Asia season, offering five new 14-day Asia Explorer voyages. Additionally, the MS Zaandam is offering one unique 14-day China and Korea voyages sailing roundtrip to Hong Kong, with calls to Seoul and Jeju in South Korea.

Zaandam’s five 14-day Asia Explorer Voyages sail between Hong Kong and Singapore, calling at the ports of Koh Samui and Bangkok, Thailand; Sihanoukville, Cambodia; and Phu My and Nha Trang, Vietnam. Departure dates are January 8 and 22, February 5, March 4 and 18.

The 14-day China and Korea voyage departs February 19 and sails roundtrip from Hong Kong. Two days are spent at both Shanghai and Beijing, and visits are made to the Summer Palace and the Great Wall of China. Port stops are made at Seoul and Jeju.

A 28-day Asia Explorer Collector’s Voyage from Singapore to Hong Kong is available February 5, and experiences overnight calls at Bangkok, Thailand, Shanghai and Beijing.

Lastly, a 22-day Japan and Alaska Repositioning Voyage departs April 15 from Osaka, and features port calls at Jeju and Busan in South Korea, and Petropavlovsk in Russia before visiting Vancouver in British Columbia. Stops are also made to Kodiak, Sitka and Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska.

Cruise fares begin at $1,599 per person based on double occupancy for the 14-day sailings, $2,099 for the 22-day Japan and Alaska sailing, and $3,399 for the 28-day Asia Explorer Collectors’ Voyage.
