Holland America Outlines 2007 New England/Canada

In 2007 Holland America Line will feature 21 sailings between May and October to Canada and New England, including seven-day cruises on the Maasdam during spring, summer and fall and 10-day fall foliage cruises on the Veendam. The premium cruise line will also introduce weeklong roundtrip sailings from Boston and visits to the new port of Savannah, GA on two Eastern Seaboard and Canada itineraries. The Maasdam offers 12 seven-day cruises between Boston and Montreal from May 19 to Sept. 29, 2007, calling at Bar Harbor, Halifax, Sydney, Charlottetown, and spending an extended day in Quebec City. Guests can opt for shore excursions such as touring Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor by bike or carriage, exploring the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse Route near Halifax and taking the popular Anne of Green Gables tour in Charlottetown. Cruise fares start at US$1,049 per person double. Maasdam also features three roundtrip cruises from Boston on June 23 and 30, 2007 and Aug. 11, 2007. These sailings offer a different itinerary, highlighting the northeast Atlantic seacoast with visits to Newport, RI; Portland, ME; Saint John, New Brunswick; Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Bar Harbor, ME. Cruise fares start at US$1,299 per person. The Veendam sails three 10-day cruises between New York and Montreal on Sept. 9, 19 and 29, 2007, plus a 12-day voyage from Montreal to Tampa on Oct. 9. The Maasdam also begins the 2007 season with a 15-day cruise departing May 4 from Fort Lauderdale to Montreal, with Savannah as a new port of call for the line. It also sails a similar journey but north-to-south in fall 2007.
