U.S. Coast Guard crews searched throughout the weekend for a 46-year-old man who went overboard from Royal Caribbean International's Navigator of the Seas at approximately 10:55 p.m. on March 4 as it sailed off the coast of Key Largo on Friday night. The vessels departed Port Everglades on a Caribbean voyage on February 28.

The man, identified by the Coast Guard as David Mossman of Texas, reportedly fell 100 feet from a stateroom balcony, according to another guest. A review of the ship’s closed-circuit camera footage observed a 46-year-old male guest from the U.S. going overboard from deck 10.

Navigator of the Seas immediately began a search for the passenger to no avail.

In a statement the line said: "Early Saturday morning, the ship was advised by the Coast Guard that they would be assuming control of the search and the ship resumed its journey to Port Everglades, FL."

Royal Caribbean’s Care Team is providing support to the guest’s family and the line said its thoughts and prayers are with the family.
