Mark McGrath Cruise Cancelled, Star Cites Carnival Triumph Fallout

beachRolling Stone magazine and Entertainment Weekly both have reported that country singer Mark McGrath has cancelled his themed music cruise this fall, citing fallout from the Carnival Triumph situation as one reason.

"Real bummer," McGrath said on his Twitter feed, in response to one upset fan. McGrath added: "The recent fiasco sunk us, no pun intended!"

The Mark McGrath & Friends Cruise was slated to sail Oct. 18-21 from PortMiami on Carnival Imagination.

The Web site set up to host the cruise - http://markmcgrathandfriendscruise.com - apparently has been deactivated from public viewing.

The cruise was organized as a charter by Flying Dutchmen Travel. Travel Agent had recently profiled the group in a recent online story at: http://www.travelagentcentral.com/cruises/flying-dutchmen-goes-hollywood-producing-full-ship-charter-cruises-38613
