MSC Cruises Begins Renovations on MSC Sinfonia

As part of the $273 million “Renaissance Program,” MSC Cruises will be starting its second phase of ship enhancements with the expansion of MSC Sinfonia

The project is scheduled to take place over the next 10 weeks in Palermo’s Fincantieri shipyard, where engineers will insert a pre-built midsection containing 193 extra cabins. Work on a series of interior renovations will follow, including:

-New areas for children created in partnership with Chicco®, and LEGO®
-New Baby Club, Mini Club, Young Club, and Teens Club
-Updated dining space offering a 20-hour buffet, a new lounge, and an extended restaurant
-Additional massage areas at the MSC Aurea Spa
-An outdoor spray park on deck 13

Once the work is completed, MSC Sinfonia will set sail for Genoa. The “Renaissance Program” will then continue from May 2 to July 4, 2015 with the MSC Opera, followed by work aboard the MSC Lirica from August 31 to November 2, 2015.
