MSC Cruises has announced that it will continue to expand its presence in China with the deployment of the MSC Splendida to the region starting in May 2018.
Following MSC’s opening of a new office in Shanghai, the deployment of the MSC Splendida to China will introduce the line’s MSC Yacht Club concept to the Chinese market. This “ship-within-a-“ship” concept offers private facilities, a 24-hour personal butler, dedicated concierge reception as well as priority boarding and disembarkation. Built in 2009, the MSC Splendida has a capacity of 4,363 guests in 1,637 staterooms, 76 percent of which have a balcony.
The ship will join MSC Lirica, which has been serving Chinese guests since May 2016 and recently moved to its homeport in Tianjin to serve northern China during the winter season.
MSC Splendida’s itinerary details will be announced shortly, MSC said.
