M/V Norwegian Majesty Renamed Louis MajestyJuly 6, 2009 By: Brittany Wallace Travel Agent
M/V Norwegian Majesty, with its adopted new name “Louis Majesty,” will sail for Louis Cruises from December 4, 2009 onwards and is chartered to Norwegian Cruise Lines until the end of October 2009, operating cruises from the U.S.
The ship was built in 1992 and underwent renovations in 1999 that added 34 meters to its eventual length of 207,20 meters. M/V Louis Majesty contains well-equipped accommodations, where its staterooms and suits can accommodate 1,790 passengers.
Guests aboard the ship can enjoy dining, entertainment and recreation in its six international restaurants and nine bars and lounges. Over and above the two main restaurants, M/V Louis Majesty features a number of other themed restaurants, giving passengers a wide rage of choice.
Shaped like an amphitheater, The Palace show lounge is the main venue on board for production shows and major cabaret acts. Guests can gamble in the Monte Carlo casino, dance in the disco and toast the day at the Observatory lounge, while taking in the sunset.
Louis Majesty contains spacious open deck space, six elevators, international library and Kid’s Corner. There are two swimming pools and a splash pool for children, three whirlpools, and Wellness Center that features a gym, saunas and a beauty salon. Duty free and cruise value shopping is provided on board as well as surfing the web at the vessel’s Internet corner.
In keeping with the Louis Cruises tradition, M/V Louis Majesty has Greek officers, and a well-trained international crew.
“The addition of M/V Louis Majesty, a contemporary cruise liner, to the fleet substantially increases the annual number of passengers who choose Louis Cruises,” said Costakis Loizou, Louis Group executive chairman. “Her deployment from the ports of Genoa and Marseilles, where Louis Cruises’ cruise programs enjoy great success and continuous development, is indicative of the company’s growing strength in the international cruise market and its further establishment as a major cruise operator in the Mediterranean”.
