Windstar Cruises Offers New Asia and Middle East Itineraries

Boutique cruise line Windstar Cruises has announced new itineraries that will take guests on board the all-suite Star Legend yacht to new destinations, including in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and East Asia. The 12 new sailing dates announced will depart between October and April of 2017, ranging in length from 10 to 18 days and stopping in dozens of new, maiden ports of call.

The new itineraries span sites like Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, as well as smaller ports and villages, islands and shores of exotic locals like Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Korea, Borneo and the Philippines.

The agility of a small ship like the Star Legend will allow for the sailings to visit cities only accessible by small ships. By day, the yacht will anchor at the hidden harbors and tropical islands of the South China Sea where cruisers can enjoy water sports like swimming, snorkeling, water skiing and stand-up paddle boarding direct from the ship’s Watersports Platform. By night, guests on board can look at the stars from the Open Bridge, and discuss with the captain where the ship is going next.

During the fall of 2017, Windstar is offering two one-time-only repositioning sailings, which will visit Egypt, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean. Guests can choose to sail from Athens to Dubai via the Suez Canal with the chance to see Petra and Luxor, or from Dubai to Singapore via India and Malaysia with stops in Phuket. The two can be combined for a 34-day, non-port repeating itinerary.

Windstar’s six Asian itineraries offer a choice of 10 departure dates and include a round trip Singapore cruise to Malaysia and Thailand; three cruises between Singapore and Hong Kong via Malaysian Borneo, Brunei and the Philippines; two Hong Kong to Bangkok (or reverse) cruises via Vietnam; one Hong Kong to Beijing cruise via Taiwan, islands of Japan and mainland China; a Beijing to Tokyo sailing via South Korea; and two Tokyo to Osaka (or reverse) cruises. Guests can combine cruises for an extended voyage of up to 43 days.

In addition to the new Asia and Arabia cruises, Windstar has launched the Star Perks Event, which offers guests reduced fares and a choice of one free perk when booked by December 9, 2016. Free perks include a choice of up to two free pre or post hotel nights; premium beverage package; unlimited Wi-Fi package; or up to $1,000 of shipboard credit.

Star Perks Event reduced fares start at $3,999 per guest for a 10-day Grand Japan cruise, sailing either April 14 or 24, 2018. The Grand Japan itinerary sails between Yokohama and Osaka, with ports of call in Shimizu, Shingu, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Hakata and Hiroshima, Japan as well as Busan, South Korea.

Twelve departure dates on Asia and Arabia cruises are being offered from October 2017 through April 2018. Visit www.windstarcruises.com for more information.
