Norwegian Escape Moves "For the Record" to Escape Theater

for the recordNorwegian Cruise Line has announced that, due to its popularity, For the Record: The Brat Pack will be offered as a complimentary show in the Escape Theater onboard Norwegian Escape beginning on April 16.

For the Record is a Hollywood night that celebrates classic soundtracks of John Hughes' coming of age 1980's teen films, including Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. As of April 9, The Supper Club will host an all new dinner and live entertainment experience, with details to be revealed soon. The Tony Award-winning Broadway hit After Midnight featuring Brenda Braxton will continue in The Escape Theater as regularly scheduled.

As For the Record moves to the Escape Theater, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet will be featured on board Norwegian Escape as of the March 5 sailing and will re-open onboard Norwegian Getaway on May 15. Million Dollar Quartet is a musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. Million Dollar Quartet brings that night to life, featuring a score of rock hits including "Blue Suede Shoes," "Fever," "Great Balls of Fire," "Walk the Line," and more. Legally Blonde on Norwegian Getaway will close on April 30 and Burn The Floor will continue as currently scheduled.

From March 5 until April 16 when For the Record begins, The Escape Theater will feature Vocal Over Drive, a contemporary pop acapella group. Vocal Over Drive will then move to The Getaway Theater from May 1 until May 15, when Million Dollar Quartet opens.
