Oceania to Launch World Cruise in 2018

The Around the World in 180 Days itinerary onboard the Insignia will depart Miami January 3, 2018, returning July 1, 2018. The ship will begin sailing the Caribbean before calling at ports in South America. After that, it will cross the Atlantic to travel along Africa's coastline and into the Indian Ocean before visiting ports in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. After calling at islands in the South Pacific and Hawaii, the ship will transit the Panama Canal before returning to Miami. 

In all Insignia will visit 20 national capitals and 56 UNESCO World Heritage sites, as well as offer 16 overnight stays in 13 destinations. In Cape Town, South Africa, for example, guests will be able to ride the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, explore the African wildlife and visit the famous Stellenbosch wine country. Other notable overnights include Yangon, Myanmar, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Additionally, guests booked on the entire world cruise can enjoy exclusive shoreside events. In China, guests will spend a night in a luxury hotel in Beijing, visit the Great Wall of China, and spend a day exploring Beijing’s Tiananmen Square and other historic attractions. In Sydney, Australia, world cruise guests will enjoy an exclusive three-hour luncheon and cocktail cruise on Sydney Harbour, while in Auckland, New Zealand, they will experience a lunch in the 1,076-foot high Sky Tower
