Oceania Names Bennasar Sales Manager of Spain and Portugal

Oceania Cruises has named Xavier Bennasar sales manager for Spain and Portugal. Bennasar’s appointment comes as part of the line’s wider expansion across Europe and the United Kingdom.

“We are pleased to welcome Xavier to the Oceania Cruises team,” said Bob Binder, Oceania Cruises’ president. “With the launch of Marina in January and Riviera in 2012, this is a very exciting time for the Oceania Cruises. Xavier’s relationships in the Iberian market will help re-affirm our commitment to both consumers and travel partners across the region.”
Bennasar bring 20 years of experience in the hospitality world to Oceania Cruises. For six years, he was the owner of Mallorca Sea Shipping, coordinating ports for Pullmantur Cruises, which was purchased in 2006 by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Previously, Bennasar was a director for Marítima del Mediterráneo, providing port and logistic services, as well as serving as a ship agent for Schembri Maritime Agency.
For the past three years, he has owned his own acclaimed seafood restaurant in Palma de Mallorca.
