P&O Cruises Plagued By Another Mishap

P&O Cruises has ditched its latest voyage aboard Pacific Star after mechanical problems, leaving 1,145 passengers without a vacation. The ship was to sail on an eight-night itinerary from Auckland to Brisbane, but that's now been scrapped so the ship can undergo repairs. Pacific Star had already delayed the ship's departure date because of a faulty ventilation duct. Angry passengers wanted answers after complaining of toilets not flushing and the stench of sewage. All passengers were given a full refund and any charges incurred while on the ship were waived. This latest setback comes only days after a passenger death on the Pacific Sun, but years after the suspicious death of Dianne Brimble on a P&O ship-the matter is still being taken up in court in Australia.
