Princess Expects St. Thomas, San Juan to Be Open by Late December

Princess Cruises reports that it expects St. Thomas and San Juan in time for the Regal Princess December 17 cruise, and that it expects San Juans airport to be fully operational by then as well.

Princess made the announcement as part of a number of new cruise modifications for December due to damage the Caribbean sustained during Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria. The line also said that Princess Cays, Grenada, Bonaire and Curacao are open and accepting cruise calls.

For Regal Princess December 17 cruise, Princess will replace the St. Maarten call planned for December 22 with a call to St. Kitts from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on that same date. For the December 28 cruise, the planned call to Dominica on January 1, 2018, will be replaced with a call to Martinique from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the same date.

For Pacific Princess December 30 Caribbean cruise, the line will replace the planned call to Marigot on December 26 with a call to Guadeloupe (Iles des Saintes) from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the same date. The call to Virgin Gorda planned for January 2, 2018, will be replaced with a call to St. Croix from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the same date.

Guests who booked Princess shore excursions for canceled ports will receive a refund to the original form of payment. Shore excursions for new ports will be available within the next two weeks, or they may be booked onboard.
