Report: Carnival Fantasy Changes Itinerary Due to Technical Problem

carnival fantasyCarnival Cruise Line's Carnival Fantasy was forced to modify its itinerary after a technical issue stalled the ship in PortMiami for several hours on Monday, the Miami Herald reports.

The ship has changed its itinerary from a five-day sailing stopping in Key West and Cozumel to a route that calls at Nassau, the Bahamas, and Freeport, Jamaica. Additionally, Carnival has canceled a performance by comedian Kathy Griffin that had been scheduled for the ship's Cozumel call on Wednesday. The line said it is trying to arrange for an alternate entertainer to be flown in.

Carnival will issue a $50 per person onboard credit to guests and a 25 percent discount on a future cruise.
