A fire struck Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Black Watch Friday, July 1, forcing the cruise line to cancel the ship’s next cruise, Cruise Critic reports.

The fire, which broke out in the engine room, forced the line to abandon its cruise in Funchal, Madeira, and fly passengers home. The fire damaged three of the ship’s seven auxiliary engines, as well as caused damage to cabling that has prevented the ship’s two main engines from running.

This morning, the cruise line decided to cancel the ship’s next cruise, which was due to be a nine-night Norwegian Fjords itinerary departing July 8.
