Royal Caribbean Adjusts Schedules for Isaac

In a Sunday update, Royal Caribbean International (www.cruisingpower.com) said it's closely monitoring the path and progress of Tropical Storm Isaac to ensure guest and crew safety and to assure its ships steer clear of the storm.

The U.S. Coast Guard closed the Port of Miami, Port Everglades and Port of Palm Beach during the storm. So some ships had to remain longer at sea. That has delayed embarkation and the start of some cruises.

The line has adjusted schedules or departure times for some Florida-based ships.

Allure of the Seas

Home ported at Port Everglades, FL, Allure of the Seas’ next sailing will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 28, rather than its planned departure (originally scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 26).

The line asks guests scheduled so sail on that Aug. 26 cruise to not arrive at the port until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28; check-in and boarding will be between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

The line said the delayed departure will impact the ship's itinerary. Allure of the Seas will now spend Wednesday, Aug. 29, at sea, call at Cozumel, Mexico, on Thursday, Aug. 30, spend Friday, Aug. 31, at sea, and call at Nassau, The Bahamas, on Saturday, Sept. 1.

The line asks any guests who believe they won't be able to arrive on Tuesday for boarding to call 888-829-4050.

Majesty of the Seas
The Port of Miami was closed at 11 p.m. Saturday and evening and is expected to open today (Monday, Aug. 27).
Majesty of the Seas' boarding for its upcoming cruise today will be delayed and now will begin at 5 p.m. Guests should arrive for check-in and boarding after 5 p.m. and no later than 8 p.m.
Majesty of the Seas will call on Nassau, Bahamas, on Tuesday, August 27, as scheduled. However, the arrival time in Nassau may be impacted by the later departure.
More information will be provided to guests once they board the ship.
Monarch of the Seas
Boarding for Monarch of the Seas, which sails from Port Canaveral in east central Florida, will begin at 1 p.m. today (Monday, Aug. 27) as scheduled.
Monarch of the Seas will spend Wednesday, Aug. 29, at sea, and call to CocoCay, Bahamas, on Thursday, Aug. 30.
The line encourages guests on the impacted sailings to continue to monitor www.royalcaribbean.com. for any additional updates.
The line also said: "We strongly suggest guests complete their online check-in as soon as possible, including the section on your preferred method of contact while traveling. You can access online check-in at www.royalcaribbean.com/onlinecheckin."
