Royal Caribbean to Invest in Greek Port Infrastructure

Royal Caribbean intends to invest in port infrastructure, construction of a hotel and a conference center in Greece, and has specifically targeted the ports of Piraeus, Heraklion, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Kos and Mykonos. One of these ports would be transformed into a cruise hub.
The plan includes updating port infrastructure and the construction of a 4-star hotel, a conference center, a shopping center and a marina equipped for 120 yachts.
According to a five-year plan, Royal Caribbean estimates over 800,000 passengers per year would visit Heraklion, a port highly considered in the placement of a hub port.
