Scenic Announces 2018-19 Southeast Asia Itineraries

Scenic has released its 2018-2019 Southeast Asia brochure with all the details about itineraries and add-ons. The line sails on the Mekong River through Vietnam and Cambodia as well as the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar. Travelers who book early (February 28, 2018 in the US, December 31, 2017 in Canada) can save up to $1,000 per couple or receive free flights.

Southeast Asia itineraries vary and range from 11 to 31 days. New this year is the 11-day Luxury Mekong and Temples Discovery cruise that brings guests through Vietnam and Cambodia with seven nights on the Mekong and three nights spend in the city of Siem Reap, where guests tour the magnificent 12th-century World Heritage-listed temple complex Angkor Wat. There will also be a gala dinner at Kravan Temple featuring Apsara dancers.

During a 27-day journey, guests will take a private tour of the secret Cu Chi Tunnels; meet with dedicated nuns at Hue’s Duc Son Pagoda, where they teach and train orphaned children; and visit the family home of a former merchant in the World Heritage-listed city of Hoi An.

Four land-based add-ons are available that offer guests additional exposure to the region. “Sapa” is a four- or five-day exploration of Hanoi, Lao Cai and Sapa; “Mai Chau Eco Lodge” combines Hanoi with a two-night stay in the lodge; “Veteran’s Legacy” takes guests from Hanoi to two places familiar to veterans of the war - Vung Tau and Nui Dat; and “Beach Retreats” has three possibilities, all four days in length: Danang and Nha Trang, Nha Trang by itself, and Ho Chi Minh and Long Hai.

The 66-guest Scenic Spirit and 44-guest Scenic Aura will be taking guests on their journey. The luxury all-inclusive fare includes private butler service, unlimited beverages, gratuities, cultural entertainment and regional cuisine as well as Western dining.
