Set Sail 2011 on the ms Volendam

Holland America Line's ms Volendam has released its 2011 Australia/New Zealand cruise itinerary, complete with 14- and 18-day voyages to the land down under. The vessel will also make a 14-day sail to the South Pacific. The spring of 2011 brings 17- and 18-day voyages throughout Asia, as well.

14-Day New Zealand Discovery
This voyage departs from and returns to Sydney, leaving both January 2 and January 30, 2011. There will be eight ports of call in New Zealand, including Wellington, Napier, Christchurch, Tauranga and Auckland.

14-Day Pacific Treasures
Departing on Jan 16 from Sydney, the Volendam will make a 14-day round-trip cruise visiting three ports in New Caledonia and two in Fiji.

14-Day Australia and New Zealand
This itinerary, departing from Sydney Feb 13 and from Auckland February 27, features cruising in Fiordland National Park, as well as Milford, Dusky and Queen Charlotte sounds. Experience Picton, which is the hub of Marlborough Sound's wine country. This is also an opportunity to see the native Maori culture up close when the ship docks at Tauranga.

18-Day Great Barrier Reef Explorer
Departing March 13 from Sydney to Singapore, this cruise includes four days in the Great Barrier Reef. The itinerary also involves an overnight in the reef near Sherrard Island as well as stops within the Whitsunday Island group. There are also ports of call in Indonesia, including Komodo Island as well as Bali and Java.

18-Day Asia Explorer
This trip touches on all corners of Asia, departing from Singapore and hitting Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and China. It departs April 14 and includes three overnight stays in Bangkok as well as docking in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

17-Day Japan and Alaska
Linking Kobe to Vancouver, BC, this voyage departs on May 2. The Volendam visits the ports of Yokohama, Hakodate and Kushiro, Japan before heading over to Alaska, calling at Kodiak and Sitka.
