Sharla Smith has joined Paul Gauguin Cruises as the lines new director of sales, southeast region, which encompasses Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
Smith will be responsible for presenting and selling Paul Gauguin Cruises to travel agency partners and top accounts, building and maintaining key travel agency partner relationships, and providing account management, promotions, and product seminars.
Most recently, Smith spent 16 years with the Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. (RCCL), and was a top sales performer for its cruise brands Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity, Celebrity Xpeditions, and Royal Caribbean International. She served as a Regional Sales Manager at Celebrity Cruises for the past ten years.
Before her time at RCCL, Smith was an executive at SST Travel School with 52 locations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. She also owned and managed leisure travel agencies specializing in cruise vacations and FIT tour arrangements.
