Silversea Announces Global Reorganization

 

Silversea Cruises has announced the reorganizarion of several executive positions.

Silversea Cruises announced today a shift in executive positions in order to maximize its growth in international markets.

Steve Odell, who was responsible for Silversea’s Asia Pacific operations and opened Silversea’s offices in Sydney in 2008, has been appointed senior vice president of sales and marketing for the U.K., Europe, and Asia Pacific. Odell will relocate to Silversea’s London office in early July.

Despite Odell’s move to London, Siversea’s Singapore office will continue to report to him. Similarly, Silversea’s European sales and marketing staff, which is based in Monaco, will also report to Odell.

Taking Odell’s place is Karen Christensen, who has been appointed director of sales and marking and general manager for Australia and New Zealand. Christensen was previously the regional sales director for Australia and New Zealand.

Trudy Redfern has decided to leave Silversea as of June 30 after being with the company for over seven years. Redfern was senior vice president for the U.K., Ireland, and Middle East Markets.

Silversea has announced plans to open a new office in Frankfurt during the second half of this year. This office is expected to manage Austria and Switzerland.
