Silversea Formally Announces Management Changes

Silversea confirmed today that it has officially named former Regent Seven Seas Cruises' executive Ken Watson as executive vice president and COO. The luxury line also added Fabio Agostini as vice president and chief information officer.

The additions come in the wake of the sudden departure of Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing David Morris and Marilyn Conroy, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas, earlier this week. Tim Rand, vice president and chief information officer, also left.

"These [appointments] will help consolidate the corporate organizational structure and enhance our ability to meet new business challenges, and ultimately our long-term strategic goals," said Amerigo Perasso, president and CEO of Silversea.

Watson will be based in the company's Fort Lauderdale office where he will oversee all worldwide sales and marketing activities as well as leading the departments of revenue management and performance, reservations, air/sea and guest relations. Watson had been with Regent for the past six years.

Agostini will direct Silversea's development of information technology.
