Silversea Welcomes Three New Areas Sales Directors

 

Silversea Cruises welcomed three new area sales directors with responsibility for key regions in the United States. Kevin Smith has joined to cover the Northeast, Rachel Woodward has the Northwest, and Saul Fonseca is responsible for southern Florida. John Wilson continues as acting area sales director for northern Florida.

Kevin Smith joined Silversea last month as area sales director for the Northeast, reporting to Kris Emery, regional sales director for the eastern region. Smith is based in New York City and his territory includes New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Delaware, Vermont and Maine. Smith, a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, was formerly the manager of national accounts for Star Clippers.

Rachel Woodward has been appointed area sales director for the Northwest, effective Jan. 12. She reports to Nancy Gonzales, regional sales director for the western region. Woodward is based in San Francisco with responsibility for northern California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, Wyoming and Colorado. A graduate of the University of Southern California, Woodward comes to Silversea from Crystal Cruises, where she worked for more than seven years, most recently as the manager of national accounts.

Saul Fonsecahas been appointed area sales director for southern Florida, as of Jan. 21, reporting to Kris Emery. Based in Silversea's Fort Lauderdale office, Fonseca is responsible for a territory that encompasses Naples, Tampa, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and the Florida Keys. He joins Silversea from Hilton Worldwide, where he was the sales manager for business travel and corporate travel accounts for two of their properties. His background also includes more than seven years with Royal Caribbean International, where he developed account management expertise as an account executive for national accounts.
