Silversea chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio has received Club de l’Eco Monaco’s Personality of the Year award for 2014.

Lefebrvre received the award from SAS Prince Albert of Monaco and Michel Roger, Minister of State of Monaco.

Launched in 2011 by Nice Matin with the support of Monaco's Chambre de Developpement Economique (CDE), the Club de l'Eco Monaco is a forum for the business community of the Principality to exchange ideas.

Lefebvre, who had been involved in the family's businesses from an early age, managed Silversea’s ship operations and became chairman of Silversea Cruises in 2001. During his tenure, Silversea expanded from a four vessel operation to an eight ship luxury market leader also offering expedition cruises.

Lefebvre, a resident of Monaco since 1975, is a member of the World Economic Forum, Vice-Chairman of the World Travel & Tourism Council and Chairman of the Monegasque Chamber of Shipping. In 2007 he received the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre de Saint Charles and Grimaldi from Albert II, Prince of Monaco.
