This Week in Cruise: Hurtigruten Launches New Travel Agent Booking Engine

Hurtigruten has launcehd the new Revelex Power Agent B2B Booking Engine for travel agents on its website. The technology, developed by Revelex Corporation, allows agents to book their clients' Hurtigruten voyage, land options, air needs, optional excursion and hotels on the dynamic booking platform. Search options include cruise ship, date range, destination, embarkation port and ports of call.

MSC Yacht Club is offering travel agents select Mediterranean sailings of the MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida at a rate of $840 per person for a seven-night cruise - lower than the starting brochure rate of $4,199. This travel agent rate is only available until June 30, 2012.

As a reminder from last week's update, Carnival Cruise Line is offering a promotion throughout May that allows active and former military personnel to book up to three “Fun Ship” staterooms at discounted rates for themselves and their friends and family members. Reservations must be made between May 1-31, 2012, to qualify for this special offer, which is available in conjunction with a variety of three- to eight-day “Fun Ship” departures through April 30, 2014, including voyages to The Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico and Europe.

Rates start at $299 per person for three- to five-day cruises; $334 per person for six-day departures; and $534 per person for seven- and eight-day voyages.  Also included are 12-day Europe voyages starting at $949 per person.
