Norwegian Cruise Lines has increased their reservation options, allowing for both shore excursions and specialty restaurant reservations to be made online prior to setting sail.


Carnival has appointed Dwayne Warner, a 25 year veteran of the cruise industry, to the position of vice president and chief information officer.


Silversea Cruises debuted 19 new overland tours for 2012, with the company now offering 50 overland tours. Holland America Line also debuted five new Asian itineraries ranging from 14 to 28 days in length.


Lastly, AmaWaterways has relocated its MS AmaDaigo to the Rhone River in southern France for 2012's "Provence and Spain" river cruise program.
