Two New Executive Appointments at Avalon Waterways

Avalon Waterways has announced two new executive appointments the line says are aimed at driving its future growth.

Pam Hoffee will lead the operations of Avalon Waterways as chief product and operations officer for the Globus family of brands. Joining her is Terri Burke who will drive Avalon Waterways’ sales, marketing and promotional efforts as managing director.

These appointments come on the heels of an announcement of the pending retirement of Patrick Clark, managing director of the river cruise line since 2005.

Since 2003, Hoffee has guided product and operations for the Globus family of brands’ North America and non-Europe products. She has a wealth of experience with Avalon Waterways, overseeing the Southeast Asia operations of the company’s new Suite Ships and itineraries on the Mekong and Irrawaddy Rivers. In her new role, she will be adding Avalon’s worldwide operations to her list of responsibilities.

Terri Burke formerly led the Globus family of brands’ key retail partnerships alongside Paula Hayes. As the director of national accounts, she activated the Avalon Waterways Specialist Program for travel agents.

Hoffee and Burke will transition into their new roles in 2017.  Clark will stay on with Avalon Waterways as chairman for the better part of 2017, before shifting into retirement.
