U.K. River Cruise Operator Riviera Travel Comes to U.S. Market

Through a new national sales office in Fairfield, Connecticut, and a new website launching April 3, 2017, American customers will be now able to book cruises through UK-based river cruise line Riviera Travel. With more than 30 years of experience in European travel, Riviera Travel has hosted over 100,000 guests on its river cruises. American travelers will now be able to experience a Riviera Travel cruise on one of 11 itineraries across Europe in 2018. The cruise line is a member of CLIA, ASTA and IATA

Riviera Travel itineraries available to U.S. customers include cruises on the Rhine, Moselle, Main, Rhone and Duoro rivers aboard the MS Lord Byron, MS Jane Austen, MS William Shakespeare, MS Charles Dickens and MS Swiss Coronoa and, new in 2017, the MS Thomas Hardy, MS Emily Bronte, MS Robert Burns and MS Duoro Elegance. The MS Thomas Hardy will be cruising the Danube from April to October 2017, the MS Emily Bronte will be cruising the Netherlands, the Rhine, Moselle and Danube from April to October 2017 and the MS Oscar Wilde will be cruising the Rhine, Moselle and Danube from April to October 2017. 

Onboard facilities include fully air-conditioned decks, a panoramic observation lounge and bar and a choice of two restaurants with buffet breakfasts, lunches and four-course dinners. Most ships also offer a sauna, steam room, pool, fitness suite, library, and hair salon or treatment room. All cabins and suites offer a hotel-style bed, choice of soft or firm pillows, en-suite bathroom with shower, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, sitting area, flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, safe, telephone and individually controlled air conditioning/heating.
