Seattle-based Un-Cruise Adventures announced the addition of Blanca-Stella Lanao to its sales team. Lanao steps into the newly-created position of business development director for the southern United States and Latin America with a focus on Mexico.
In her new role, Lanao will lead business development efforts in the southern United States concentrating on Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Texas and Alabama; she’ll also cover Puerto Rico. Internationally, Mexico will be a key development territory along with Central and South America.
Lanao has 20 years’ experience working in the travel industry with 11 years as director of international accounts for Regent Seven Seas. She also spent time at Fairfield Communities as director of international travel sales and at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau as director of sales for Latin America, Caribbean and Asia. Most recently she consulted for a number of travel firms in Mexico and South America.
Lanao speaks fluent English and Spanish with working knowledge of Portuguese and French. She has an AA degree from Junior College in Bogotá, Colombia and is a Certified Travel Industry Consultant (CTC). She lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
