Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has confirmed the royal godmother of its third super ship. The S.S. Maria Theresa will start sailing this spring and will be christened by Princess Anita von Hohenberg. The princess will help debut the new ship, which is named after her ancestor, on March 26, 2015 in Amsterdam.

Maria Theresa ruled as the Archduchess of Austria and Empress of the Holy Roman Empire from 1740 to 1780. Currently, Princess Anita serves as the director and owner of the Artstetten Castle and Estate in Lower Austria.

Uniworld passengers tour the castle each year, and select customers will be able to see the castle and share a glass of champagne with Princess Anita at a private event.

“It’s a great honor for me to represent the Habsburg family in Amsterdam and to christen Uniworld’s new super ship, S.S. Maria Theresa, in honor of the great Maria Theresa,” said Princess Anita von Hohenberg.

The S.S. Maria Theresa is set to sail the Danube River from Budapest to Amsterdam, starting this spring. The liner will also sail from Amsterdam to Antwerp; Budapest to Passau and Passau to Budapest throughout 2015.

Uniworld sails on 22 rivers through 29 countries, including Russia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia and India
