Voyages to Antiquity Opens Booking for 2011 Itineraries

AthensVoyages to Antiquity today announced its 2011 schedule for the Aegean Odyssey, including pre- and/or post-cruise hotel packages, shorter-length cruises, new destinations and free air travel for more than 70 North American locations when booked by December 31.

In 2011, the newly designed cruise-tours are 14 to 16 days and include seven to 12 night cruises plus two to three night pre-and/or post cruise hotel stayss in Rome, Athens, Istabul and Cairo. Cruises have been shortened to attract a younger demographic. For flexibility, passengers may choose to opt out of the hotel stays for credit against their cruise fare.

New cruises include a tour of the Black Sea, including Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and Bulgaria, then the Mediterranean through Corsica, Sardinia and Libya as part of two North Africa itineraries.

Cruise fares start from $3,295 and will include shore excursions with complimentary bottled water, gratuities to shipboard staff, wine, beer and soft drinks at dinner.

After December 31, air travel will be free from select East Coast destinations and $99 and $199 from the Midwest and West, including transfers and bag handling. Guest lecturers and speakers will discuss topics including art, history and culture of the Mediterranean.
