MSC Cruises is also participating in the festivities with a month-long “World’s Largest Cruise Event” offer available to residents of the United States and Canada who book select 2013 MSC Cruises sailings of five or more nights by Oct. 31, 2012. Holland America Line's contribution to National Cruise Vacation Week consists of a one-week sale with exclusive fares on a variety of the line’s global itineraries, including the Caribbean, Asia, South America, Europe, Alaska, Australia and New Zealand. Guests making bookings on board will also be able to take advantage of reduced deposits and value booklets, as well as receive up to $200 per person in shipboard credit that can be combined with any group amenities or vacation week offers. Additionally, Norwegian Cruise Line reached an agreement with Meyer Werft GMBH of Germany to build a new cruise vessel, for delivery in October 2015, with the option for a second ship for delivery in spring 2017. The new ship, at 163,000 gross tons and approximately 4,200 passenger berths, will be larger than the Company’s Breakaway class ships currently under construction at Meyer Werft and incorporate many of those vessels’ unique design elements and innovations. With the project name “Breakaway Plus,” this new vessel will be the largest in Norwegian’s fleet.
