Cuba Cruise Prepares for New Sailings

HavanaCuba Cruise has just completed a second series of sailings last week and is now gearing up for its third run, from December 18, 2015 to March 28, 2016.

Now that access to Cuba is permitted to Americans, the cruise operator offers a new way for tourists to experience the country. In partnership with the Fund for Reconciliation and Development (FFRD), a U.S. non-profit organization that authorizes legal travel to Cuba under the new general license introduced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Cuba Cruise launched the “People-to-People” cruise program in January 2015.

The seven-night cruises include Cuban-guided day trips to historical, social and religious places of interest, like Santiago de Cuba, Trinidad and Cienfuegos, dance and Spanish language workshops, onboard lecture series from a University of Havana professor, and one-on-one conversations with Cubans onboard and ashore.
