Zegrahm Expeditions has announced two new Cuba itineraries for the coming year. In late 2016 into early 2017, the company will offer an 11-day overland itinerary, as well as a 17-day expedition cruise onboard a small ship.

Zegrahm’s overland adventure, The Heart of Cuba, departs October 13 and November 3, 2016, and February 9, 2017. Guests will explore the cultural and natural wonders of the country, from the Buena Vista Social Club to the Zapata Wetlands, home to 171 species of birds and 31 species of reptiles. Travelers will also have the chance to meet locals while savoring traditional cuisine; stroll through the streets of historic Havana; and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Trinidad and the Valley of the Sugar Mills, the historic center of Cuba’s sugar industry. Priced from $8,780 per person.

Cuba Under Sail departs March 29, 2017, aboard Le Ponant, a 56-guest sailing ship. Guests will nearly circumnavigate the island, beginning in Havana and cruising around the east side to Cienfuegos where they disembark and enjoy a two-night stay in Playa Larga and explore the Caribbean’s largest and best-preserved wetlands. This expedition offers opportunities to snorkel and dive, plus guests can explore the historic, cultural capital of Santiago de Cuba. Priced from $17,580 per person.
