Travcoa Returns to Cuba With Two New Offerings

A unique opportunity to explore one of the most fascinating countries in the Americas, Travcoa’s "People-to-People" journeys provide clients with a full-time schedule of educational and cultural exchanges with the Cuban people.

Travcoa has been granted a two-year license by the United States Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control to provide educational exchange travel to Cuba for ‘People-to-People’ contact visits.

During Travcoa’s all-inclusive Community, Culture & Cuisine Escorted Journeys, there will be small group sizes averaging 12 travelers; profound personal experiences; best available accommodations and authentic dining. On three evenings, clients may dine at any restaurant of their choosing thanks to Travcoa’s unique Dine-Around Program.

Travcoa’s 10-day Escorted Journey to Cuba begins with an overnight in Miami. Guests travel by charter flight to Cienfuegos the following day and spend three days visiting Santa Clara, Cayo Santa Maria, Caibarien, Remedios, Caleton, and Cienaga de Zapata National Park. 

Guests will be introduced to Cuba’s arts while interacting with students and teachers at the Santa Clara School of the Arts, delve into Cuba’s history while visiting the Museo Azucarero Marcelo Salado, catch glimpses of daily life at a rationing store and a bustling produce market and much more. A luncheon at the home of a Cuban businessman will offer insight into the challenges and benefits of running a private business in Cuba today. The journey concludes with five nights in Havana, Cuba’s vibrant capital city.

Havana is the ideal hub from which to experience a variety of engaging excursions on both the seven-day and 10-day Escorted Journeys. A local policy expert will discuss the history and current state of U.S.-Cuba relations, and guests will experience first-hand how 21st-century enterprises like organic farms and eco-tourism are gaining a foothold in Cuba. Travelers will meet with artists who have adorned sleepy fishing village with brilliant public art, and sway to a private Afro-Cuban music performance and attend the famous Tropicana Club for Cuban-style entertainment.

Travcoa is offering departures from January to May. Limited to just 18 participants, guests may choose from Select and Grand hotel categories with land prices from $4,995 per person for the seven-day journey and from $6,995 per person for the 10-day journey.
