American Cruise Lines Offers Culinary Cruise Collection for Select 2012 and 2013 Dates

American Cruise Lines has announced its Culinary Cruise Collection offering cuisine of specific regions including Alaska, New England, the Chesapeake Bay, the Mississippi River and the Pacific Northwest.

The Alaskan King Crab Cruise: Guests can indulge in "all you can eat" Alaskan King Crab. The seven-night roundtrip cruise from Juneau will offer a variety of recipes and preparation styles for guests to enjoy while discovering Alaskan culture and heritage. Featured dates: August 18, 2012 and July 27, 2013.

The Lobster Festival Cruise: Offered on the Maine coast and harbors with New England itineraries, guests will enjoy a traditional lobsterbake in Rockland, ME or Newport, RI. During the seven-night cruise, lobstermen and local experts come abord to discuss the American delicacy. Guests can also go aboard a lobster boat for a hands-on demonstration. Featured dates: Agust 25, 2012 and July 20, 2013.

The Crabfest Cruise: Highly skilled chefs will prepare specialty dishes featuring fresh Maryland Crab from the Chesapeake Bay. Featured dates include June 30, 2012 and June 15, 2013.

The Culinary & Wine Themed Cruise: Guests will enjoy all-American fare from culinary masters aboard the Queen of the West on the Columbia and Snake Rivers featuring ingredients from the Pacific Northwest, such as salmon and tenderloin. Guests will visit wineries in both Oregon and Washington. Featured dates include October 20, 2012 and May 4, 2013.

The Savories of the South Cruise: Available on select Mississippi River itineraries, tempting southern dishes from Cajun to creole and barbeque will be available for guests' enjoyment. While in port, guests will have access to exclusive cooking demonstrations and tastings. Featured dates are December 15, 2012 and March 2, 2013.
