Air India reports the introduction of a new Stopover Package program for their passengers from New York, Newark, and Chicago who are traveling via Delhi to the over 50 other cities across India. The packages are also available to passengers returning to the U.S. from any of those cities via Delhi.
The basic one-night package includes: accommodation at a choice of a three-star, four-star, or five-star hotel in or around the Delhi Airport area; breakfast and hotel taxes; and a transfer from Delhi Airport Terminal 3 to the hotel. Room upgrade and airport return transfer options are also available.
For travelers wishing to spend another day or more in Delhi, there are Extended Stay rates, as well as optional full or half-day city sightseeing tours, rental cars, and a day trip to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal.
The Stopover Package program also offers Day Rooms for passengers with several hours between flights who would like to leave the terminal.
