Auberge Resorts—which features such small luxury properties as Auberge du Soleil,
Esperanza, Calistoga Ranch and The Inn at Palmetto Bluff—is launching a new
hotel brand. Solage Hotels & Resorts will feature energetic, contemporary
properties with a strong focus on design that will be "more accessible in
price, style and experience." The brand will debut in 2007 with the
opening of Solage Calistoga in Napa
Valley, CA. The
resort is currently under construction and upon opening, will feature 89 rooms,
a casual restaurant and bar with outdoor terraces and fire pits, and an outdoor
pool with cabanas and lounges. The resort will also house the Solage Spa with a
mud bar and soaking pools. Rates will range from $275 for a deluxe room to $850
for a one-bedroom suite. Tim Harmon, a partner with Auberge Resorts, will head
up Solage as CEO. Future locations may include Mexico,
Hawaii and California.
