Boca Raton Resort & Club Offiicialy Joins Waldorf=Astoria

Hilton Hotels Corporation announced Friday that the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Florida has joined The Waldorf Astoria Collection, making it the 13th property in the collection. The private, full-service destination resort on 356 acres, complete with a 32-slip marina on the Intracoastal Waterway and one-half mile of private beach on the Atlantic Ocean, is halfway between Palm Beach International and Ft. Lauderdale International airports.

The Boca Raton Resort & Club recently completed $220 million in renovations, including a renovated 212-room Boca Beach Club which features cabana-style guestrooms with ocean views and access to three new restaurants, three new outdoor pools with signature lounge areas, new private poolside cabanas and new beach lounges.

Hilton plans to develop Waldorf Astoria Collection hotels and residences in key cities around the world and this year expects to launch the Waldorf Astoria Orlando Bonnet Creek in Florida, Dakota Mountain Lodge in Park City, UT, and the Bentley, Waldorf Astoria Collection in London. The Palace Jerusalem, Israel, the Waldorf Astoria Sarasota in Florida and the proposed the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills in California are also scheduled to open in 2010.
