Five-Star Hotel On Lake Geneva To Unveil Interior Redesign

LeMontreux240

The Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, originally built in 1906, is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation which will be completed in April by noted interior designer Fiona Thompson, who recently renovated the Trianon Palace Versailles, a Waldorf-Astoria Collection Hotel. The property, which overlooks the French Alps and is located on the shores of Lake Geneva, will introduce a contemporary new redesign of its guest rooms, Brasserie and public spaces, including the addition of the Freddie Mercury Suite, celebrating the legendary singer-songwriter who was a Montreux resident and frequent guest of the hotel.

About 190 of the 235 rooms at the luxury resort will be refurbished, in addition to 45 suites and junior suites, 12 conference and meeting rooms, the 21,000-square-foot Willow Stream Spa, and the famous Harry’s New York bar. The hotel will also receive a new lobby lounge and bar.
