Gerald Glennon has been promoted to the position of general manager of Halekulani. Glennon will be responsible for directing all aspects of day-to-day management and operations of the 455-room property. Glennon has nearly three decades of experience in hospitality management. He joined Halekulani as executive assistant manager in 2001 and, over the succeeding years, has played an instrumental role in shepherding the property through major renovation and enhancements, including the hotel’s acclaimed Vera Wang and Royal suites and the award-winning SpaHalekulani.
Prior to joining Halekulani, Glennon served as general manager of Sofitel Miami, and executive assistant manager of Sofitel San Francisco. From 1978 through 1987, Glennon served in management positions at various hospitality companies, including Westin Hotels and Amfac Hotels & Resorts. He received a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.
